Types of personal information we collect and store
Pre Booking – We only collect the minimum information required to either make contact with you after some form of contact has been made through email or social media platforms which infer you have agreed to be contacted, or to send information updates to you, as agreed by you in some form of correspondence between you and us such as a contact form submitted by you. Such information includes your name, email address and phone number.
Post Booking – In the case of our Registrations process once you have made a booking with us, we may request and collect more detailed information, including information about medical conditions, fitness, food allergies and preferences. In all cases, this information is only intended to allow us to assess whether there are any particular issues we need to be aware of in relation to you safely undertaking physical activities in outdoor environments, and what, if any special considerations should be taken into account by us during your walking or kayaking experience with us, to try to ensure your safety.
The purposes for which we collect, hold, use and disclose personal information
All personal information collected is only used to either make further contact in relation to your interest in our products, or to assess whether there are any particular issues we need to be aware of in relation to you safely undertaking physical activities in outdoor environments, and what, if any special considerations should be taken into account by us during your walking or kayaking experience with us, to try to ensure your safety. No information given to us by you, will be disclosed to any other parties for any reason.
How we collect and securely store personal information
Your information will be securely stored by us on password protected information systems, or by third parties facilitating financial transactions, which use high level security protocols that protect, and do not disclose your information to others.
Our promise not to ‘spam’, sell or rent your email address
We will never send you unsolicited emails, or spam, nor sell or rent your email addresses to other parties, for any reason, ever. If you have not signed up deliberately to be added to an email list, we will only email you if we assess that you will nevertheless have a genuine interest in being contacted.
How to access and correct any information we hold, including unsubscribing from any email list
You are entitled to contact us by any available means to request the information we have about you, and to request that we either update or delete that information form our records and databases. We will always endeavour to use systems that offer easy ‘unsubscribe’ options from email databases, and will endeavour to remind you to consider manual removal from such databases as well.
How we will handle complaints about perceived breaches of Australian Privacy Principles
You are invited to indicate your intention to complain about any perceived breaches of Australian Privacy Principles and we will endeavour to address the issue in a friendly and direct manner to your complete satisfaction.
Disclosure of personal information to other people or organisations
We will never disclose any of your personal information to any other party, for any reason, without your prior consent.
