4 Day ‘King Tide’ Guided Walk

OVERVIEW

‘King Tide’ walks are the easiest, most comfortable and most informative way for you to tackle the 4 day Yuraygir Coast Walk. We meet on the designated afternoon before for a detailed briefing. Then walk with superb local guides over the following four days, returning daily to a central accommodation base. We take care of everything, walking outside school holiday periods, with a walk plan tailored around tides:

• appreciate and enjoy this magnificent walk without the hassles of organising numerous river crossings, transport logistics,
  accommodation and food.
• walk in comfort during the walk with just a day pack and fully relax at the end of the day with a hot shower, nibbles and dinner provided.
• benefit from the superb local knowledge of local, highly qualified and passionate guides who understand all relevant local conditions and can give you unrivalled insight into the area, its history and its natural and cultural values.
• enjoy the comfort of knowing that our excellent guides carry first aid equipment and can assist if you run into any difficulties, including organising emergency evacuations.

INCLUSIONS

• 5 nights accommodation in comfortable holiday house accommodation in Minnie Water
• ingredients provided for you to DIY breakfasts

RECOMMENDED DATES

We recommend a set of dates for King Tide walks based on avoiding school and public holiday periods and unworkable tides. If you have an alternative set of dates you prefer for your group, get in touch to discuss – we are flexible.

MINIMUM NUMBERS

Walks will be confirmed for bookings with a minimum of 6, with discounts for groups of 9-12.  If you are an individual or only have a smaller group (<6), we can add you into existing groups/dates once confirmed. Register your interest now!

PRIVATE GROUPS

We can book private guided walking groups for family and friends keen to walk together, with a minimum group size of 8. You can choose the King Tide Walk format, or customise your own to suit. Please note that if you are keen to select dates within school holiday periods that a surcharge will apply to cover the elevated cost of accommodation hire during these periods.

*STANDARD AND UPGRADED ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS

The standard tour package includes standard accommodation arrangements. This means staying in holiday houses with shared facilities and amenities, with friends and family grouped together wherever possible. Couples are provided with a private double or queen bedroom within a shared holiday house. Single guests (known to each other) are assumed to be willing to ‘twin share’ a room if needed, but in practice we aim to secure a private room for all our guests, subject to availability and other practicalities. Guests may prefer to guarantee a private room, or a private house among a group, by paying an accommodation upgrade supplement. Opportunity to select accommodation configurations and upgrades is provided after you make your standard tour booking.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE:

1. Rates vary if selecting upgraded accommodation options at or following booking.
2. Start Time and Place – Guests need to get to the Yuraygir coast region between 3-6 pm on the evening prior to the commencement of the nominated start date of the walk.
3. Special dietary requirements – can be catered for.  Please provide us with plenty of advance notice. In some cases, we may need to charge an additional catering fee.
